What's Happening at School Today? Grade 8 Practical Arts

There are three parts to our Practical Arts program at GWMS: Home Ec, Woods and Tech. 

Today in Home Ec the class was talking about FAS and FASD the effects this had on people with this and the effects on society. 

Students are using Showbie to share material with their teacher. 

In Woods students are continuing to design a car they will be building. 

Students all get the same size block of wood. From that they cut the wood to match their design and build their car.

In Tech students are continuing to design and print t-shirts using screen printing. 

Students at GWMS enjoy Practical Arts because:

Grade 8 students get Practical Arts once per cycle for 120 minutes. This gives students a good chance to create and build all sorts of amazing things they choose to work on. It's always a fun class to visit.
