GWMS Little Free Library

George Waters Middle School recently installed a Little Free Library. The goals is to encourage students and people in the community to read more and to have access to reading material.

Feel free to take a book that interests you and leave one behind that you have already enjoyed!

If you have any books at home that you would like to donate to our Little Free Library please drop them off at the office. We'd be happy to add them to our collection!
There are many Little Free Libraries around Winnipeg. Check this map out to find more!

What is a Little Free Library?
It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. You can, too!

  1. Principal Mead, Here is a link to an updated listing of local LFL's. A lot of the older data didn't transfer to the new world map and many stewards haven't resubmitted their information. There are over 30 in Winnipeg now:

P.S. Your students might like to know that Winnipeg's first Little Free Library was built by two SJCI alumni - we attended before George Waters Middle School was a separate entity. :)
