Tina Holland
is the Director of Education for the Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba.
Tina is an entertaining and informative speaker, who loves to share her story.
Tina has lived with Bipolar illness all of her life yet she has had a
successful career in Real estate, as an international artist, and now as an
Educator. Her story of empowerment and recovery is one of hope.
She has
spoken to large groups about Depression, Bipolar Illness, Suicide Prevention,
Borderline Personality and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder always from self-help
and lived experience point a view. Tina’s aim is not only to educate the public
about these treatable illnesses but also to help eliminate the stigma of mental
illness in our society.
Tina has
written and delivers a Cognitive Behavior course for people living with
Depression and Mental Illness. Recently Tina completed a workbook for Parents
“Challenges, Changes and Choices”, directed at parents who are dealing with
difficult kids. As well, Tina Holland
has spoken at over 500 schools, businesses and organizations.
Tina encourages teens to attend this
workshop with their parents.
Workshops will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. at Educational
Support Services – Jameswood School, 1 Braintree Crescent (off Olive &
Ness). Free pizza supper will be offered
from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. and session will take place from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. To register, please call Arlie
