Dear Parent/Guardian,
George Waters Middle School will be holding its
annual Sports Awards Breakfast on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 10:00
AM. This Awards Breakfast is used to celebrate the participation and
achievements of students who took part in athletic events over the past school
year. Parents are invited to join their child for this informal breakfast
celebration. Students planning to attend can see Mr. Speechley for more
information. If you are planning on attending the event, you are
encouraged to bring your own water bottle (water will be provided). This
is in support of the St. James-Assiniboia School Division’s sustainability
initiative.
Regular classes will begin with
homeroom attendance at 10:00 AM. Students
who are NOT participating in the Sports Award Breakfast are not required to be
at school until 10:00AM, however, students who are bussed or are unable to
accommodate the late start, may still arrive at regular time (8:15am) and staff
will provide supervision. Those students will be expected to bring a book
to read or be prepared to participate in the activity that staff have
provided.
