On Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:30 PM we have a couple of events happening for all of our students. At this time, we also have the students in grade 5 who have enrolled at George Waters MS for the 2016-17 school year visiting us to be introduced to their new principal (Mr. Valentim), to meet their new homeroom teachers, and to get a tour of the school.
Information for parents/guardians of grade 8 students
Grade 8 students will be visiting the high school they are attending in 2016-17 for a tour and an introduction. More detailed information is attached with a permission form (grade 8 students only).
This form is due back on THURSDAY, JUNE 16, 2016. (Note: form to be returned is not attached in this blog post)
Information for parents/guardians of grade 6 and 7 students
All grade 6 and 7 students will be participating in an event called ‘Water Olympics’. This is a series of games and challenges that incorporate water, reasoning skills and physical literacy. This event is held outside in our back field by the track, rain or shine.
Students are asked to come with the following things:
- A change of clothes and shoes (they will get wet!)
- Foot wear must be worn at all times (sandals are ok)
- A hat
- Sunglasses (not necessary but recommended)
- A positive attitude and a willingness to have fun, get along in team atmosphere, and to GET INVOLVED
All students are expected to return after lunch to their homeroom by 12:20 PM (as usual), students will attend their regular period 5 class and then the different activities will begin. We will dismiss at 3:20 PM.
