Hands on Activity Week for Kids (HAWK) at Red River College

Aboriginal Youth Summer Camp – Hands on Activity Week for Kids (HAWK) at Red River College Free, fun and fast approaching

This is a 2-year cohort program– meaning Red River College will be accepting 12 students, ages 9-11 years old to participate in the camp for two consecutive summers, free of charge.

The goal is to advance their interest and comfort with RRC and expose young people to as many program/career options as possible, while focusing largely on self-esteem, self-identity, team building skills and cultural knowledge.

This year’s HAWK Camp will run the week of July 4 – 8, 2016.

The programs we have chosen to highlight are: Carpentry, Dental Assisting, Stevenson Aviation and Chemistry/Bio Sciences.

HAWK is offered at no charge to participants and includes bus tickets, a camp T-shirt, daily lunch and snacks. With only 12 spots available in this year’s camp make sure to register your son or daughter as soon as possible. Once the camp is full, a wait list will be developed. In order to register, your application must be completed in full, including a $50 refundable deposit that will be returned the last day of the camp.

Registration is now open! Go to http://goo.gl/c81ahH to register.
