Get ready to celebrate World Teachers’ Day. The theme for this year’s World Teachers’ Day is “Unite for Quality Education: Better Education for a Better World”. It’s a chance for 30 million teachers to be recognized for the good they do for their students, their nations and the world.
It’s also a chance to remember the fact that every girl around the world deserves an education. That’s a focus of the World Teachers’ Day.
Since 1994, World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on Oct. 5—no matter when it falls. This year it’s a Sunday, but we know many schools and communities will be celebrating your work throughout the week.
The official Twitter hashtag this year is #Unite4Ed. Thank your teachers!
