Manitoba Five Pin Association's Bowling Championship

On Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Roxy Lanes, the Manitoba Five Pin Association held their annual bowling tournament.  This tournament is open to any middle or high school in Manitoba.  There were representation from numerous city schools as well as few rural schools.

George Waters Middle School participated and for the 2nd year in a row came home with the champioship!

Medals are given out to the top three teams from the middle school and high school level of gold, bronze and silver.  $200 (I believe Best Buy) gift cards were presented to the top male and top femaie bowler for the middle school level.  The high school top male and top femaie were given a $400 cash post secondary scholarship.

Cassandra Lethbridge from John Taylor received the top senior girl award and will receive a $400 post secondary scholarship and a plaque.  Matthew Rodych from George Waters won the top middle school boy award and received a $200 gift card and plaque.

The George Waters Team placed first and received gold medals and certificates of participation.

It was also noted that Matthew R. of George Waters won the top middle school prize for the second year in a row!!

It was a very exciting afternoon!
